Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator assembly.
    2. NOTE: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT WARNING .
  2. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten to 8.4 N.m (74 lb in).

  3. Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten bolt A to 21 N.m (16 lb ft).
    • Tighten bolt B to 52 N.m (38 lb ft).

  4. Install the generator connector and wire 2 harness clamps.
  5. Install the wire harness to terminal B with the nut and install the terminal cap.

    Tighten:  Tighten to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).

  6. Install the v-ribbed belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
  7. Install the engine under cover right hand side.
    8. NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
  8. Connect cable to negative battery terminal.
