Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .

  4. Disconnect the turn signal switch electrical connector (1).

    IMPORTANT: Press the retaining tabs (2) on the turn signal switch (1) and pull the turn signal switch assembly away from the steering column (3).
  6. Remove the turn signal switch assembly from the steering column (3).
