Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Lower Heat Shield Replacement (LY7) .
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

  3. Remove the crankshaft sensor bolt.
  4. Remove the crankshaft sensor.
