Circuit/System Testing

IMPORTANT:
When removing connectors inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected.
- SDM
- SDM wiring harness
- Ignition OFF, remove the underhood AIRBAG fuse.
- Ignition ON, connect a test lamp between the B+ side to the fuse and ground. The test lamp should illuminate.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, refer to DTC B1370-B1379, B1380-B1389, or B1440-B1443 .
- Ignition OFF, install the underhood AIRBAG fuse.
- Disconnect the harness connector at the SDM.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between ignition circuit terminal 33 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the SDM.
