Circuit/System Testing

  1. With the ignition OFF, disconnect the EBCM connector.
  2. Measure for 10-16 volts between the B+ circuits and ground at the EBCM connector.
    • If voltage is not as specified, repair short to ground, open or high resistance in B+ circuits.
  3. Measure for 10-16 volts between the Ignition voltage circuit and ground at the EBCM connector.
    • If voltage is not as specified, repair short to ground, open or high resistance in ignition voltage circuit.
  4. Measure for less than 1 ohm between the EBCM ground circuits and ground at the EBCM connector.
    • If resistance is not as specified, repair open or high resistance in ground circuit.
    • If all circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
