NOTE: The new SIR coil assembly will be centered. Improper alignment of the SIR coil assembly may damage the unit, causing an inflatable restraint malfunction. Preliminary Procedure: Remove the steering column shroud. Refer to Steering Column Shroud Replacement .

2	Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Procedure: Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed. Tip: Ensure the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil washer does not need replacing and is installed correctly before reinstalling the coil.
