IMPORTANT:
Diagnose all vehicle DTCs before using this diagnostic.
The malfunction must be present during diagnosis in order to prevent unnecessary parts replacement Inspect the EBCM ground, ensuring the ground is clean and torqued to the proper specification.

- Ignition OFF for 5 seconds, Ignition ON, observe that the traction off indicator functions by illuminating for 3 seconds then turns OFF.
- If the ABS, TCS, or Low Traction indicators do not illuminate, with the scan tool, select instrument panel special functions Display Test. Command the instrument panel lamps ON and OFF. Verify the Warning indicator lamps turn ON and OFF.
- If the warning lamps do not turn OFF, replace the IPC.
- If the warning lamps do turn OFF, replace the EBCM.
