Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution .
    CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution .
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Tank Heat Shield To Fuel Tank Retaining Nuts

    CAUTION: Refer to Exhaust Service Caution .
  2. Remove the fuel tank heat shield to fuel tank retaining nuts (1).
  3. Remove the fuel tank heat shield (2).
