Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Battery Negative Cable To Chassis Retain Bolt

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. Install the negative battery cable to chassis retain bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
    IMPORTANT: Clean any existing corrosion from the battery terminal and the battery cable end.
  2. Install the negative battery cable to the battery terminal.
  3. Install the negative battery cable nut (1) to negative battery terminal.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery terminal retaining nut to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Install the left-hand cargo area carpet side. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement
  5. Install the cargo area center carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement
