Installation Procedure

  1. Position the exhaust pipe heat shield to the underbody.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the exhaust pipe heat shield nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement (3.6L, 3.9L)  or Muffler Replacement (2.4L, 3.5L, and 3.9L) .
  4. Install the exhaust heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement .
