Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF. Disconnect the harness connectors X1, X2, X3, and X4 from the BCM.
  2. Ignition OFF. Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuits X1 terminal 12, X2 terminal 13, and X4 terminal E12 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, repair the ground circuit.
  3. Ignition ON. Measure voltage on the B+ circuit X3 terminal D12. The voltage on the B+ circuit should be equal to battery voltage.
    • If not the specified value, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
