Scan Tool Data Definitions

Calculated System Temperature

The scan tool displays -50 - 250 degrees. The calculated temperature of the electric power steering (EPS) motor.

Overload Protection Incidents

The scan tool displays the number of overload protection incidents.

Steering Shaft Torque

The scan tool displays -7 N.m to +7 N.m (5.16 lb ft). The amount of torque being applied to the steering column shaft when turning the steering wheel.

Steering Wheel Position

The scan tool displays the steering wheel position in degrees.

Vehicle Speed Status

The scan tool displays the status of the vehicle speed message as valid or invalid.
