Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Buick LaCrosse and 2007 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Apply adhesive GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) to the screw.
  2. Position the NEW sensors fork to the pin.
  3. Rotate the sensor in order to align the sensor locator to the hole in the extension bracket.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install a NEW brake pedal position sensor bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 2.0 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (2).

    Engage the CPA. The CPA will not engage if the connector is not attached properly.

  6. Calibrate the sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
  7. Install the I/P insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
