Installation Procedure

  1. Pre-start the bolts to the window regulator and motor.
  2. Install the power window motor to the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement .
  3. Position the window regulator and motor into the slots of the inner door panel.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
    IMPORTANT: In order to ensure proper orientation of the window regulator to the door, tighten the window regulator bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3,4, 5).
  4. Install the window regulator bolts in the specified sequence (1, 2, 3, 4) and motor (5) mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the power window motor by pushing in on the tab (1).

  6. Remove the masking tape.
  7. Temporally connect the power window switch to the door wiring harness and lower the window far enough in order to gain access through the inner panel to the window guide run channel to regulator bolts.
  8. Install the bolts (2) that attach the window guide channel to the regulator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Inspect the window for proper operation.
  10. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  11. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
