Removal Procedure

  1. Using a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil. Record the remaining engine oil life.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPO LS4) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPOs L26/L32) .
  3. Remove the left front inner fender brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement .
  4. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors

  7. Remove the PCM from the air cleaner lower housing.
