Electrical Component Locator: Switches

SWITCHES LOCATION

Component Location
Backup Lamp Switch On manual transmission. See Figure.
Brake Fluid Level Switch Mounted under center of brake fluid reservoir. See Figure.
Clutch Pedal Position Switch Above clutch pedal.
Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Switch (2.4L) Lower left rear of engine. See Figure.
Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Switch (3.6L) Front center of engine, above starter.
Folding Top Front Latch Actuator Position Switch Above center of headliner. See Figure.
Folding Top Front Location Pin Position Switch In passenger compartment.
Hood Ajar Switch In front of engine compartment, on hood latch. See Figure.
Internal Mode Switch (IMS) Integral to automatic transmission manual shaft detent w/shift position switch lever assembly. See Figure.
Micro Switch In rear compartment. See Figure.
Park Brake Switch Under center console, on parking brake ratchet assembly. See Figure.
Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch Below master cylinder, on transmission. See Figure.
Rear Compartment Lid Front Latch Position Switch-Decklid (Left/Right) At respective rear compartment deck lid hinge assemblies. See Figure.
Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch - Exterior In rear compartment lid. See Figure.
Rear Compartment Partition Position Switch In rear compartment.
Seat Belt Switch - Left Part of seat belt buckle. See Figure.
Seat Belt Switch - Passenger Part of seat belt buckle. See Figure.
