Installation Procedure

  1. Position the exhaust heat shield to the underbody.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the heat shield nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install NEW heat shield rivets.
  4. Remove the support from the muffler pipe.
  5. Install the muffler pipe forward insulators to the underbody hangers.
  6. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (RPO L61)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement (RPO LE5)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement (RPO LSJ) .
