Shift Cable Adjustment

  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  4. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers.

  6. Push the shifter 4th gear lock clip. Move the shifter slightly in order to center the lock clip.
  7. Ensure that the transmission is in 4th gear.

  9. Press and lock the shift cable retainers.

  11. Pull the shifter 4th gear lock clip to its original position.
  12. Install the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
