Circuit/System Testing

Ignition OFF, inspect the vehicle for signs of side impact or frontal inflator module deployment.
Verify that the vehicle does not show any signs of inflator deployment.
- If the vehicle displays any signs of inflator deployment, refer to Repairs and Inspections Required After a Collision .
Use a scan tool and observe the SIR DTC display. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle . The scan tool should indicate DTC B0055 is not set.
- If DTC B0055 is set, replace the SDM.
