Circuit/System Testing
- Turn OFF the ignition.
- Disconnect the Supercharger Boost Solenoid control solenoid.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Probe the battery positive voltage circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open or for a short to ground.
- Connect a test lamp between the control circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid and the battery positive voltage circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid control at the Supercharger Boost Solenoid harness connector.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the control circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid for a short to ground.
- Command the Supercharger Boost Solenoid ON and OFF.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate with the commanded state of the solenoid, test the control circuit of the Supercharger Boost Solenoid for a short to voltage or an open.
- If the circuits and the control module test normal, replace the Supercharger Boost Solenoid.
