Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Disconnecting/Connecting Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Electrical Connector

Replace the O-ring if damaged, lubricate the NEW O-ring with clean engine oil.
Install the CMP sensor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the CMP sensor bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
