Removal Procedure
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.

- The secondary air injection (AIR) pump is located above the inner wheel house and stone shield panel.

- Remove the 2 bolts (2) that secure the stone shield (1).
- Remove the single retainer (3) and the stone shield (1).
- Swing the stone shield (1) down in order to gain access to the AIR pump assembly.

- Disconnect the AIR pump electrical connector (5).
- Disconnect the AIR pump relay electrical connector (4).
- Disconnect the electrical ground strap (3).
- Disconnect the AIR pump discharge hose (6).
- Remove the three AIR pump bracket fasteners (1, 2, 7).
- Remove the AIR pump assembly from the vehicle.
