Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Disconnect the positive battery cable (1).

  3. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt (1).
  4. Remove the strap (2).
  5. Remove the retainer (3).
    6. IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  6. Remove the battery (4).
