Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Cooler Pipe/Hose & Retaining Clips

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. If equipped, remove the cooler pipe/hose from the retaining clips on the frame.
  3. Fig 2: Identifying Cooler Pipe/Hose

  4. If equipped, remove the cooler pipe/hose from the clamps on the steering gear.
  5. Remove the wiring harness clip from the cooler pipe/hose.
  6. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the steering gear.
  7. Disconnect the power steering return from the steering gear.
  8. Remove the cooler pipe/hose from the vehicle.
