Condition
Some customers may comment that the DIC (Driver Information Center) goes blank and does not display any information. Intermittent operation does not apply to this bulletin.
Cause
The DIC may go into a logic lock mode due to a specific set of circumstances within the electrical inputs going to the DIC.
Correction
Reprogram the DIC Module. Do not remove, replace or exchange the DIC.
IMPORTANT:
The DIC calibration will not correct all DIC concerns. The following diagnostics will aide in determining if the calibration is needed:

- The DIC lights or displays text when the key is placed in the run position.
- The Tech 2(R) verifies the DIC is communicating on the Class 2 bus.
- If the fuse is removed and reinstalled and the DIC does not function with the key in the run position.
A new calibration, P/N 15257797/28012015, has been released to the dealers on TIS release 3.0, dated March 7, 2005 or newer. The DIC is reprogrammed through SPS programming via the Tech 2(R).
