Installation Procedure

  1. Install the accelerator pedal to the steering column support bracket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: Always use a torque wrench in order to obtain the proper torque.
  3. Install the accelerator pedal mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the accelerator pedal mounting bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the accelerator pedal sensor module electrical connector.
  6. Inspect for correct carpet fit under the accelerator pedal.
  7. Install the left I/P on the lower closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Lower in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
