Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7  for driver's seat or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9  for passenger seat.

    IMPORTANT: Removal of the right or the left inflatable restraint side impact module wiring harness uses the same procedure.
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact module from the seat. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Front .

    With the seat back panel removed, the inflatable restraint side impact module wiring harness (1) will be exposed.

  3. Remove the clips that fasten the side impact module wiring harness (1) to the seat.
