Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel filler pipe upper end to the fuel filler pocket and position fuel filler pipe.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to the underbody.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the fuel filler jumper hose to the fuel tank.
  4. Position the fuel filler hose clamp at the fuel tank and fuel fill tube.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel tank filler hose clamps to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle.

  6. Install the bolt in the fuel filler pocket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel tank filler pocket bolt to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  7. Install the fuel filler cap.
