Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  3. Remove the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center .
  4. Remove the ignition switch wire harness connector.
  5. Remove the theft deterrent control module wire harness connector.
  6. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  7. Disconnect the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
  8. Remove the ignition switch at the I/P screws.

  10. Remove the ignition switch assembly.
  11. Remove the ignition switch bracket screws.
  12. Remove the theft deterrent control module. Refer to Theft Deterrent Control Module Replacement in Theft Deterrent.

  14. Remove the ignition switch bracket.
