Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT:
    • Never use a hammer to install the power steering pulley.
    • The face of the power steering pulley hub must be flush with the end of the power steering pump driveshaft.
  1. Using J 25033-C  install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  2. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (3.8L V-6) .
  3. Fill the power steering system. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
  4. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
  5. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Leaks .
