Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Aztek)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Rendezvous) .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  3. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power .
  4. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer .
  5. Remove the inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner .
  6. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door .
  7. Remove the frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Front .
  8. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door .
  9. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside .
  10. Remove the inside handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Inside .
  11. Remove the lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Front Door .
  12. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Window .
  13. Remove the rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door .
  14. Remove the wiring harness. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Front Door .
  15. Remove the body side moldings. Refer to Molding Replacement - Front Door Body Side (Aztek) or Molding Replacement - Front Door Body Side (Rendezvous) in Exterior Trim.

  16. Support the front door.
  17. Remove the bolt from the upper hinge keeper strap.
    IMPORTANT: Do not dislodge the washer on the lower hinge.
  18. Remove the bolts from the front lower door hinge side.
  19. With an assistant, lift off the front door from the upper hinge.
  20. Remove the side hinge. Refer to Hinge Replacement - Front Door .
