Removal Procedure

- Apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
- Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
- Remove the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
- Remove the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
- Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Fender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front .
- Remove the washer solvent container from the right fender. Refer to Washer Solvent Container Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
- Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Impala) or Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (Monte Carlo) in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the body side molding, if required. Refer to Molding Replacement - Body Side in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the bolts from the fender at the door hinge pillar.
- Remove the bolts from the fender at the rocker panel.
- Remove the bolts from the fender at the front compartment side rail.
- Remove the bolts from the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.
- Remove the fender from the vehicle.
