Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil before installation and replace the O-ring if necessary.
  2. Install the CKP sensor.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the CKP sensor bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  5. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
  6. Install the right front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure. Refer to CKP System Variation Learn Procedure .
