Engine Dash Insulator Replacement - Front

The engine side dash mat is made of a flexible thermoplastic rubber. Pull away or remove the mat for the following service procedures:

In order to service the mat.
In order to make any repair behind the mat.

In many cases, you may pull the mat away in one area in order to make a repair behind the mat. If you need to cut the mat in order to perform a procedure, repair the cut with the following procedure:

Lightly sand the surface surrounding the cut.

Apply contact cement between the cut surface and the surrounding area.
Allow the cement to cure before you stress the repaired area.
