Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the mass air flow sensor (MAF).
- Remove the accelerator cable from the cable guide wire.
- Remove the auxiliary intake air control solenoid from the air cleaner cover. Refer to Auxiliary Intake Air Control Solenoid Replacement .
- Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the air cleaner cover. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement .
- Remove the EVAP canister vent valve from the air cleaner cover. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement .
- Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the auxiliary intake air control system.

- Release the two retaining clips (3).
- Loosen the air inlet duct clamp (1).
- Disconnect the air inlet duct at the throttle body (1).

- Remove the air cleaner upper assembly (2).
- Remove the air cleaner element (3).
- Remove the 3 bolts (5) from the air cleaner lower assembly.
- Remove the air cleaner lower assembly (4) from the vehicle.
