Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oxygen sensors. Refer to the following procedures:
  2. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Fig 1: Floor Panel Brace

  4. Remove the floor panel brace.
  5. Fig 2: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S1), Exhaust Pipe Hanger, Springs And Bolts

  6. Remove the following components from the exhaust manifold:
    • The 2 bolts
    • The 2 springs
  7. Remove the following components from the front pipe to the Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) exhaust pipe:
    • The 2 bolts
    • The 2 springs
  8. Remove the front pipe from the front pipe hanger (2).
  9. Remove the front pipe from the vehicle.
  10. Clean the gasket and seal the mating surfaces.
