Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Remove air intake duct and resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  3. Cut the tape holding the two cables together at the retainer on the battery tray.

  5. Cut the tape holding the two cables together near the transmission electrical plug.

  6. Remove the wire harness retainer nut at the rear of the engine.

  7. Position the wire retainer aside.

  8. Remove bolt retaining cable to battery tray.
  9. Remove the negative battery cable ground stud from the engine block.

  10. Remove the negative battery cable.
