Installation Procedure

  1. Install the J 39363  to the actuator. See Special Tools and Equipment .
    2. IMPORTANT: When installing the bypass valve actuator to the supercharger, rotate the assembly until the bypass valve shaft lever comes in contact with the stop block.
  2. Rotate the bypass valve actuator (2) until the rod engages the lever.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bypass valve actuator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Remove the J 39363  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
  5. Install the vacuum hose to the bypass valve actuator (2).
  6. Install the boost control solenoid (4). Refer to Boost Control Solenoid Replacement .

  7. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L26) or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L32) in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
