Installation Procedure
- Check the crankshaft rear oil gallery plug is not loose, damaged or leaking.
- If necessary, coat the new oil gallery plug (1) with Loctite™ 242 or equivalent.

- Install the new oil gallery plug to a depth of 31.2-31.6 mm (1.22-1.24 in).

- Install the new pilot bearing, until flush with the crankshaft counterbore.
- Install the clutch. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement (5.7L) .
- Install the manual transmission in the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement
in Manual Transmission - Tremec 6-Speed.
