Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the shift control assembly. Refer to Shift Control Assembly Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: View Of Control Lever Boot Tie Strap

  2. Turn the shift control boot inside out.
  3. Remove the control lever boot tie strap (1) from the control lever.
    4. IMPORTANT: The gearshift lever knob and gearshift lever are permanently bonded together and are not serviced separately.
  4. Carefully remove the shift lever control boot over the knob.
