Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the shifter control knob retaining screw (1).
  2. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  3. Carefully lift the lower housing assembly (1) from the base, disengaging the 3 locating tabs.
  4. Disconnect the traction control switch connector (2).
  5. Remove the selector lamp holder (3) from the lower housing (1).
  6. Remove the lower housing, upper cover, gearshift lever, knob and boot as an assembly from the shift lever.

  7. Separate the lower housing (2) from the upper cover (3) by releasing the 4 locking tabs (1).

  8. Remove the traction control switch (1) from the lower housing.
