Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the inside door handle assembly, if necessary. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Inside .
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door .
  3. Raise the window far enough in order to gain access through the inner door panel to the window guide channel to window bolts.
  4. Remove the 3 door brackets (1) from the inner door panel (3) by levering out the center pin of the bracket.
  5. Carefully, peel back the door water deflector (2) enough to gain access to the regulator.

  7. Lower the window assembly to a position where the regulator guide runners (1) and the window guide rails (3) are visible through the aperture in the door inner panel (2).

  9. Remove the 2 attaching screws (3) securing the window regulator channel assembly (2) to the door inner panel.
  10. Slide the channel (2) out of the regulator assembly (1).

  12. Disconnect the regulator assembly wiring harness connector (2) from the door harness.
  13. With the help of an assistant holding the glass, drill out the 4 rivets (4) securing the regulator assembly (1) to the door panel.
  14. Slide the runners out of the window assembly (3).
  15. Raise the window glass by hand.
  16. IMPORTANT: Make sure the window assembly is supported up while replacing the regulator assembly.
  17. Remove the window regulator assembly through the door inner panel aperture.
