Replacing Keys

The remote coded key is a "sealed for life" unit (non removable battery), therefore the housing cannot be separated. The battery life expectancy is approximately 5 to 10 years.

  1. In order to replace the key, order the following components:
    • The metal key blank
    • The remote control key head transmitter.
    • The 2 screws
  2. Cut the metal key blank. Refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding in General Information.
  3. Program the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming in Keyless Entry.
