Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat back to the seat adjuster.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the seat back to the seat back recliner arm with the 2 bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts for the seat back recliner arm to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat back pivot bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat back pivot bolt to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  7. Pull the seat back cover down over the seat back pad.
  8. Attach the hook and loop retaining strips by running your hand over the seat cover.

  10. Fasten the J-strips (1,4) across the bottom of the seat back cover.
  11. Install the seat cover flaps (2) to the seat frame with pushpins (3).

  13. Install the seat belt anchor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt anchor nut to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

  14. Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  15. Install the front bucket seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
