Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    IMPORTANT: Do NOT swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock®, and "XM Theftlock®" will display.
  1. Lower the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  3. Remove the electrical connector (1) from the receiver.

  5. Remove the antenna electrical connector (1) from the receiver.

  7. Remove the nuts retaining the receiver to the insulator panel.
  8. Remove the receiver from the vehicle.
