Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rear compartment lid to the hinges at the alignment marks, with an assistant.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the nuts to the rear compartment hinges, with an assistant.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear compartment lid hinge nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the wiring harness to the quarter panel.
  4. Install the wiring harness grommet to the right quarter panel, using a small, flat-bladed tool.
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the right quarter panel.

  6. Connect the electrical connector to the rear compartment lid lamps and the flasher fuse (1), if equipped.

  7. Remove the protective coverings.
  8. Close the rear compartment.
