Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve inlet adapter pipe mounting bolt (2) from the exhaust manifold.

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Remove the EGR valve. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Replacement .
  6. Remove the EGR valve outlet pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Outlet Pipe Replacement .
  7. Remove the EGR valve inlet adapter pipe bolts (2,3).
  8. Remove the EGR valve inlet adapter pipe (1).
