Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Position the wiper transmission assembly to the cowl panel plenum.
Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
Insert the wiper motor post into the slot in the plenum, push the transmission assembly forward to seat the post.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the bolts retaining the wiper transmission assembly to the vehicle.
Tighten: Tighten the wiper transmission assembly bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Envoy, TrailBlazer) or Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Rainier) in Body Front End.
Install the windshield wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .
