Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  1. Install the manual selector into the vehicle. Secure the manual selector with 4 nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the manual selector bolts to 12 N.m (12 lb ft).

  2. Connect the manual selector electrical connectors.

  3. Install the shift select cable into the shift lever plate.

  4. Connect the shift select cable to the manual selector lever.

  5. Install the park lock cable to the shift lever plate.

  6. Connect the park lock cable to the manual selector lever.
  7. Install the center instrument trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CENTER in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  8. Install the instrument compartment. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  9. Install the front floor console. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR CONSOLE in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
