Vehicle Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Lubricate new O-ring with Dexron-III transmission fluid.
  2. Install the O-ring.
  3. Install the VSS assembly. Install the VSS retainer.
  4. Install the VSS retainer bolt. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Connect the VSS connector.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
